SRASAC Support

We will believe you and we respect you. We will provide you with support and information to enable you to make your own decisions about what you want and need. 

What we offer for people who live within Sheffield:

  • A dedicated confidential Service Information Line for anyone who wants to know more about our services - please note that this is not a helpline.
  • Specialist counselling for survivors aged 4 years and above.
  • The Wellbeing Service that sits alongside counselling.

  • Adult Counselling Service (adults aged 18 years and older)
  • Children and Young People's Counselling Service (children aged 4-18 years)

You can refer yourself for for counselling at SRASAC by completing at Registration Form (at the bottom of the page) here: Refer Into Counselling

You can ask questions about what we are able to provide and how to access our services by calling our Service Information Line on 07517 100 757. Opening times for this information line are Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm.

All of our services are free to everyone.

We do not support adult perpetrators of violent and/or sexual offences, in this event we will signpost to more appropriate services.

    We accept self referrals into our adult counselling service. Third-party referrals are not accepted into our Adult Counselling service at this time. Our children and young person's counselling service accepts referrals from professionals including (but not limited to) social workers, GPs and early help workers.

    Sheffield Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (SRASAC) works to support anyone in their recovery from the emotional and psychological distress caused by trauma from rape, sexual violence or sexual abuse/exploitation whenever it happened in a persons’ life.

    If you need immediate support after rape or sexual assault, you might be experiencing lots of different feelings. Many people feel scared, numb, shocked, confused, or angry. There is no right or wrong way to feel or be.
