In March I am going to be running my first half marathon (and by far the furthest I will have ever run!) for SRASAC (Sheffield rape and sexual assault centre).

Sexual violence has reached epidemic levels and affects
1 in 4 women,
1 in 6 children,
and 1 in 18 men.
97% of survivors who report to the police do not secure a charge, and those that do begin a years-long process waiting to go to court to get justice.

SRASAC is an amazing charity which does so much with a small budget and work hard to help adult and children survivors (of all genders) in Sheffield.
£1 helps them post letters out to clients who don’t have access to the internet.
£5 buys tactile, fidget games used for anxiety or soothing clients in sessions
£10 pays for a child’s support pack (including sweets, activity books, colouring pens or a journal)
£12 pays for a book to be given to a child who is a client of SRASAC
£45 pays for one counselling session for one person

I would be grateful for any donations, however small, for this wonderful charity who mean so much to me! Thank you xx Tara Appleyard
